¿Quiénes son?
Shunned at a Funeral (Rechasado en un Funeral) es un proyecto musical cristiano que mezcla rock/metal, storytelling y teología. El nombre viene literal: el fundador fue "shunned at his grandmother’s funeral" - lo rechazaron/ignoraron en el funeral de su abuela. Ese momento plantó la semilla del proyecto
Concepto
No es solo una banda. Es un proyecto artístico/cinematográfico que une música, narrativa y fe. Cada tema es parte de un universo narrativo más grande.
Fundador: Músico con +27 años tocando guitarra. Tiene una discapacidad visual progresiva y ya no puede hacer shows tradicionales, pero sigue componiendo para glorificar a Dios.
Formato: No tienen formación fija de gira. Es visión de estudio con músicos de sesión y colaboradores. Usan herramientas digitales modernas y tecnologías creativas, pero la autoría y el mensaje teológico son 100% humanos.
Usan AI en creación visual/video y son transparentes con eso. Lo ven como herramienta para servir a la música.
Estilo musical
No se casan con un género. Mezclan heavy metal, frontier rock, folk y celta. Ellos lo definen como "cinematic, arena-scale" - experiencia grande, intensa.
Mensaje
Temas de redención, perdón, restauración y verdad. Letras teológicamente densas. No es parodia ni novelty: agarran referencias culturales y las apuntan a Cristo con convicción.
